PHILOSOPHY
I strongly believe every dog has an opportunity to find a home. The difficulties is understanding how to effectively communicate with your pup without suppressing it's spirit. There's hundreds of training methods available. All with various approaches and/or techniques. I for one believe the remote e-collar method effectively bridges the communication gap between all members in your household and your pup(s). When used correctly, your pup begins to acknowledge the behavior pattern associated with the command word, and in a few months, the collar begins to fade away. Your pup is now trustworthy with or without their leash being present.
The remote e-collar is basically an attention getter when distractions (triggers) are present. Once you train around your pups triggers, your walks/runs/hikes suddenly become incredibly pleasant.
Most people will have something negative to say about the remote e-collar. Truthfully, try it before casting judgement. It's a FREE demo. If you don't see results within your demo, no harm done. Training is based off of what you put into it. I always take joy at taking your pup(s) to there highest potential without suppressing their spirit. You, as the owner, will put limitations on me; not the other way around. The lessons are designed to suit your training needs. Every lesson is between an 1 hour to an 1 hour 1/2, depending on questions and how many members of the family are present.
ABOUT YOUR TRAINER
I graduated from the school of "No Limitations" for remote e-collar training on April 27th, 2007. After graduating, I returned to Los Angeles and worked for Sit Means Sit - Los Angeles. Quickly, I learned how to work with dogs with distinct temperaments and began to master my own approach. After working two years in Los Angeles, on June 9th, 2010, I went into business for myself and opened Jonny Be Good Dog Training in Northridge, California.
My first client, under my own business, was an iconic character on the hit college show "Blue Mountain State." He saw me playing with my Belgium Malinois, Conan (RIP), at a local dog park and wanted to work with me. After his free demonstration, I proved I was the right trainer for him and his pups and Jonny Be Good Dog Training was in business.
I began receiving referrals, and quickly, Jonny Be Good Dog Training was becoming a prominent company in the dog training industry.
In August of 2013, I moved to Phoenix Arizona and started fresh. It took almost two months to obtain my first client, Thea White, and after her free demonstration Jonny Be Good Dog Training was open for business. Thea had a challenging predicament. Owner of two Great Dane's, one was protective (Dakota) and the other one was incredibly shy (Franklin). During her demonstration, she asked all she wanted was to be able to attend the Downtown Phoenix Public Market with her two dogs. I looked at her and said, "OK." On her 5th and final lesson, we were at the downtown farmer's market with Thea walking her two Great Dane's on a loose leash focused on her and ignoring distractions. It was a snowball effect shortly after.
